climate controlled

Yesterday, I opened my freezer to find the Alabama snowman looking up at me from the bottom compartment. Apparently he has been living there all week. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it was 70 degrees outside. A freezer seems a bit like a zoo when a snowman is inside of it.

That is so cute. How big is this snowman? And what are his long term visiting plans?

Hi Julia! He can't be much more than a foot tall. The kids think the freezer is where you put most anything if you want it to last. I find all sorts of interesting things there. I've no idea what his long term plans are, but he is an exemplary guest so far.

Hey MM! The sad fact is that his creators have most likely forgotten about him now that the sun is shining and the hammock is hung. But I think he is having fun surprising us whenever we open the freezer door.

Hey Lori! I was sorry to read that your little one missed the snow, but it sounds like you have another exciting camping trip coming up. The tent looks great!

How cute!

It's a great illustration of the cycle of life: he'll melt, turn back to water, nourish/revitalize something, and it will have its turn to live. That's my version of it, anyway. ;)

Hey TCE! I approve of your version -- I just wonder when he will be allowed to melt!

For me he would probably last until I got tired of shuffling stuff around him. :) Definately a nice memento of our snow...funny how it snowed last week and this week it is almost 80. Wacky Alabama weather!

Hi Lythrum! Yes, far too often I find myself making the mistake of not checking the weather in advance. The temperature has been swinging back and forth like a pendulum all winter long!
