It's interesting how small variables can make such a difference. Some of my roses are doing well, but others aren't. Mine might have more to do with different varities than anything else.
We have the same situation. Why won't that one slacker bush wake up? All its friends are going to the party! Get on the bus! I totally understand.
I wonder if the slacker is closer to a tree? I thought I'd get all artful and plant some stuff under trees in our yard (not at the trunk, but beneath the spread of the branches) and the tree sucks every bit of water out of the ground, so it's not turned out as well as I'd hoped. Just a thought..
Hi Lythrum ~ They really can be quirky, can't they! These are the same variety, which makes it all the more perplexing. Sometimes I just stare and them and wonder.
Heather, yes! And the party was pink tie, but SOMEone didn't read the invitation. Slacker rose!
Allison, yes, the slacker is about a foot closer to a tree than the other one, which is why it doesn't get quite as much sun. The roots could definitely be a factor. I have some other things growing around this tree that do well, but not the rose bush. I might move it to the other side of the bush that's blooming and see what happens.
